1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to what you — as a merchant — pay Landing Island for use of the platform.
The only amount you ever pay us is a top-up of your wallet balance. Everything else is not a new charge but a deduction from that balance:
- The platform subscription — its price is deducted from your wallet balance when you activate it.
- Per-order fees — $0.02 is deducted from your balance for each order that reaches your store, unless you have an active subscription.
- Charges for AI landing-page generations — deducted from your wallet balance.
It does not cover orders your customers place on your store. That is a sale between you and your buyer; with cash on delivery the money never passes through us, and we cannot refund it. Every merchant is responsible for publishing and honouring their own returns and exchange policy on their store.
2. Try before you pay
Your first landing page on the platform is entirely free — no credit card, and not a feature-limited trial. The reason is straightforward: you see the real output before paying anything.
After that first free page, each new generation costs $5, deducted from your wallet balance.
3. Wallet balance — non-refundable, and it never expires
This is the most important clause on the page, and we state it plainly because it may differ from what you are used to elsewhere:
- Balance you top up is for using Landing Island services inside your account.
- It stays available for the lifetime of the account: it does not expire, carries no dormancy fee, and is not forfeited over time.
- A top-up is not refundable. The platform offers no way to refund unused balance — not within any window after the top-up, not if you stop using the platform, and not on account closure.
- The end of a subscription does not expire your remaining balance; it stays in your wallet and you can use it at any time afterwards.
- The minimum top-up is $5.
Precisely because balance is not refundable, the free first landing page (§2) exists so you can try the platform before topping up at all.
All of the above is about policy, not about mistakes. If an amount was charged in error, or never reached your balance, that is not a refund request but a correction — see §7.
4. The subscription
The subscription is an alternative to per-order fees: while it is active, order fees are not deducted from your balance no matter how many orders you receive.
- It costs $50 per month or $500 per year.
- You activate it yourself from the "Wallet & billing" page in the dashboard, and the amount is deducted from your wallet balance at the moment of activation.
- Your balance must therefore be sufficient before you activate it; if it is not, top up first.
- We store no payment method and never charge your card: any activation or renewal of the subscription is a deduction from your wallet balance alone.
- You keep every subscription feature until the end of the term that has already been paid for.
5. Stopping the subscription
There is no recurring commitment on your card to cancel — the subscription is paid from your balance, not from a stored payment method. If you want your subscription stopped or not continued, write to support@landingisland.com. We do not ask for a reason and put no obstacle in the way.
- Stopping it does not end the current term: you keep the subscription features until it ends.
- A subscription amount deducted for a current or elapsed term is not returned to your balance.
- Once the subscription ends, per-order fees are deducted from your wallet balance again as normal.
- Your stores, pages and orders are not deleted, and your remaining balance stays exactly as it is.
6. What is not refundable
Collected here in one place so none of it is a surprise:
- The wallet top-up itself — whether or not the balance has been spent (§3).
- Page or image generations that have already run — the cost is consumed at the moment of generation by our compute providers.
- Per-order fees deducted from your balance for orders that actually reached your store.
- A subscription amount for a current or elapsed term.
- Accounts closed for breach of the terms of use (fraud, prohibited content, abuse).
7. Payment and deduction errors
Balance being non-refundable does not mean we keep an amount taken from you in error. A technical fault is not a refund request but a correction, and we handle these cases:
- A duplicate charge for the same top-up.
- An amount charged to your payment method that was never added to your wallet balance.
- An incorrect deduction from your balance caused by a technical fault on our side.
Report it with the details in §8 and we will check the transaction with the payment gateway and correct it. If the correction requires returning an amount to the original payment method, it is issued within 5–10 business days to that same method — we cannot pay out to a different one. It may take one further bank billing cycle to appear on your statement, which is outside our control.
8. How to report a payment problem
Email support@landingisland.com from the address registered on your account, including:
- Your store name or account id.
- The date and amount of the transaction, and the gateway's transaction reference if you have it.
- A brief description of what happened.
We reply within 24 business hours. If it turns out not to fall under §7, we will tell you why and which clause of this policy the decision rests on, and you can reply to the same email to have it reviewed.
9. A top-up that does not go through
If a top-up does not complete — the card is declined, the payment reference expires before it is paid, or the session is interrupted — no balance is added and nothing is taken from you, and you can try again at any time. If the amount did leave your account and has not appeared in your wallet, that is a §7 case: write to us.
If your balance runs out and you have no active subscription, new orders still reach your store but their customer details stay hidden until you top up. Nothing is deleted or lost, and the details appear in full as soon as there is balance again.
10. Bank disputes and chargebacks
Before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank, write to support@landingisland.com — in the overwhelming majority of cases we resolve it directly and far faster. An open bank dispute freezes the account until the bank's process concludes, because we are then obliged not to touch the disputed amount.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Any change applies only to transactions made after it is published, and is never applied retroactively to an amount you paid before then.
